I see how to pass in name, email and company but what is the query parameter for passcode?

Hi @Matt-Herbert,

Passcodes are not supported by query parameters at the moment because that could pose a security threat. If you would like to use a passcode, you would need to stop using query parameters.

However, there might be other ways of securing the event. Feel free to write to us at support@slido.com and our wonderful customer care team will help you figure out the best setup for your event.

Let me know if you have any questions :)

I cannot find a documented parameter for Event Code (or event-code). Only workaround I found was to insert your event #number e.g. 443429 which resolves to a URL https://app.sli.do/event/fvpukqtu/live/polls. Then use this URL in your advertising/social media. The 8-character ‘fvpukqtu’ above is auto-generated for our poll and appears to be consistent cross-browser and ignores existing cookies.

Hey @Nick Harrington,

The event code (#443429) is generated automatically for each event and we recommend sharing it with your participants. To join the event, they simplyneed to go to www.slido.com and enter the code. If you wish, you can customize this code. Please note, the event code will only work during your selected event dates.

As you mention, you can use a link (https://app.sli.do/event/fvpukqtu/live/polls). This takes participants to the event directly and it works even outside of event dates.

You can also use a simplified version of the link by adding the event code, like so: https://app.sli.do/443429. This takes participants directly to the event, too, but it will only work during your event dates.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions :)
