Can we share a PowerPoint presentation in MS Teams?

Hello.

 

I’m using Slide for Powerpoint (Beta) and it’s working perfectly.

When I share my presentation on MS Teams I have 2 options but one of them doesn’t work.

  • share my screen - slido works
  • share just powerpoint - slido doesn’t load.

Thank you for pointing this out!

It’s true that Slido doesn’t load properly when sharing just the PowerPoint window via MS Teams.

We are currently looking into this problem to find a possible solution.

Dear Slido,


I have the same problem when using Solid with Teams. Do you have an approximate date for the solution of this problem?

I purchased this tool to make presentations with Teams and can’t use it for now.

Hi Daniel,

We hope to roll out the fix in the upcoming week or two. 

I’m happy to send you a direct message if you’d like to test the upcoming version that should allow this.

Just to note: It is already possible to use Slido for PowerPoint in MS Teams, you just need to share your entire screen/desktop when sharing online. So not particular window.

Hopefully that will change soon.

Hi Daniel and Hugo :wave_tone1:

We’ve fixed the issue with Microsoft Teams so the screen sharing of app windows only (as opposed to entire screen) is now fully supported.

If you open the sidebar in PowerPoint, you will be automatically prompted to update to the latest version.
