Slido standalone roles overview
There are four roles in Slido:
Owner
A person who registered for an account in standalone Slido or a person who enables and configures Slido in Webex Control Hub.
Admin
A member of a paid Slido/Webex license with advanced competencies similar to an owner.
User
A member of a paid license.
External co-host (Guest)
Co-hosts in Slido are people invited to help create, edit, and manage individual slidos. If you invite someone from outside your Slido/Webex organization as a co-host, they are considered external and will be listed as a Guest within your user management.
By default, external co-hosts (from outside of your Slido/Webex license) are disabled in your Slido/Webex organization. However, the license owner can enable external co-hosts in the organization settings.
Here’s a brief overview of Slido roles:
- The owner and admins can assign roles to other members of the license
- The owner, admins, and users can create and manage their own slidos
- Users cannot see other members’ slidos
- Co-hosts can help manage polls and Q&A
- External co-hosts can only be assigned to a single slido at a time
- External co-hosts don’t have access to Slido settings
