A voting method that would be really helpful is a sliding scale that not only lets a participant drag a slider on a scale of agreement, for example, but also shows a group average on the when presenting results.

Thanks so much for this suggestion — this is a great example! We’re currently working on brainstorming and also looking at what poll types could be meaningful to add next, and sliding scales are definitely one of the options we’re exploring.

The idea of showing the group average alongside responses is especially interesting 👍

If you’re happy to share a bit more, it would really help us:

  • What kind of meetings would you mostly use sliding scales in?

  • What sort of questions would you typically ask with them?

  • Would this be mainly for live interaction or also surveys / async?

Really appreciate you taking the time to share this with us!

@APWV Thanks again for the suggestion. We took another look at this with the product team.

Scale-based feedback is one of the areas we'd like to explore as we think about new poll types. That could be a sliding scale, a matrix-style question, or another format that helps compare several items or attributes in one place.

If you have examples of the questions you'd want to ask with this, please share them here. It helps us understand what shape would be most useful.
