Many customers have a preference of using either Slido or Chat for participant engagement in a Webex Meeting or Webinar. The “Announcements” feature is a great solution to allow customers to disable Webex’s chat panel, as a means of funneling all attendee interactions into the Slido Panel. Announcements provides Slido Moderators & Co-Moderators the ability to publish a message to all Slido participants. The current experience is that the announcement must be made through the Slido Web Application, and the announcement will be visible to participants viewing the Embedded Slido App in the WSMP Webinar or Meeting. However, this introduces undesirable complexity for the person publishing the announcement, per the requirement of accessing the Slido Web App to utilize this feature. Feature Request.Make the “Announcements” feature available for use in the Embedded Slido App for WSMP Meetings & Webinars. This will allow more customers to standardize their participant engagement on Slido, and eliminate the requirement to also use “Chat” in order to publish text content in a Webinar.
Slido’s current RBAC design works well for Slido’s use as a standalone product. However, the incongruity between Slido’s & WSMP (Webex Suite Meeting Platform) Webinar roles result in challenges for a number of use cases in which the Host / Cohost of the Webinar serve in Webinars with a set of technical and moderation controls that are not available to other panelists. The use case that is outlined below highlights an example in which the embedded Slido experience is unable to maintain a strictly controlled, private Q&A environment where attendee questions are never visible to other attendees. T— The issue that exists in the WSMP Webinar Experience, while using the Slido Integration is that Panelists will have the same level of control as a Host/Cohost. There lacks the ability for Panelists to have a "read only" view of the Slido panel, while the Host & Cohost would maintain the full slido moderation experience. All panelists have moderation features available to them. There does not appear to be a workaround, presently.— From [Customer Name]’s perspective and use case, questions that are taken in the Webinar are addressed verbally if it pertains to the subject matter of the Webinar. This necessitates a panelist having the ability to view the Q&A panel. Questions that are asked in Slido are only replied to directly by the Host or Cohost (Webinar production Team) if a question pertains to a technical issue. The Webinar production team perceive there being too much risk in a panelist having the ability to click the green check mark after they verbally address a question. Feature Request:Introduce a “Panelist” role in Slido that can be used to maintain alignment with WSMP Webinar roles. Differentiating a Slido “Panelist” from a Slido “Co-Moderator”. Such that a Panelist has limited interaction opportunities with the Slido Moderation Panel, but is able to view the Moderation Panel. As they are Panelists and not attendees. Note: While the use case outlined above is Q&A specific - This new role would fundamentally affect both the Q&A & Polling experience for the reasons described for Q&A.
i know you killed the mobile apps. I would consider bringing back just the admin mode mobile app, for key things like starting/stopping questions and monitoring activity. All the options for doing admin work while you are presenting on a PC are weak even if you use the powerpoint plugin. Keep in mind that if you’re plugged into some fancy professional display via HDMI, if you affect the resolution or something by shifting windows/presentation mode, the display can go nuts for several seconds re-syncing. That sort of thing is ugly.
Hi Team, I am Deepankar and have been using Slido for the past year. I’ve had a very positive experience, especially with integrating it into PPT presentations, and I look forward to continuing its use. I would like to share a small suggestion. It would be helpful if the free version could allow up to 10 polls instead of the current limit of 3. This would greatly enhance usability, especially for workshops and interactive sessions. Thank you for building such a useful tool and for considering this feedback. Regards,Deepankar
Hi Team,I would like to see Slido integrated more deeply into the Webex app. I think there are various use cases for this. For example:Webex chats/spaces: creation & linking of Slido polls Meeting/webinar planning: linking or at least a cross-launch option from Slido Meeting/webinar invitations: A direct link in the invitation itself (email & Space invitation) After an event: Participants should have continuous and intuitive access to surveys & especially the Q&A even after an event (i.e., also a link to the mailing & meeting summaries in the app)RegardsChristian
Concept: Poll embedded as an interactive card/message … just click your answer and submit.Rather than linking a user to a Slido poll in Webex Messaging embed a Slido poll directly inside of a space. Benefits:Poll interaction would be significantly enhanced (more intutitive) I would anticipate usage to increase substantially as well.
Hi, it would be nice if participants could react to other people’s open text with a like / clap emoji. At the moment I use the Q&A poll but that is not ideal - thank you!
To start off, I absolutely love Slido and the features and reporting we can do with it. My company uses Webex and the seamless way it works with Webex is also top notch! So thank you for making a great program.I use it a lot for training either New Hires on our products or doing skill enhancements for current hires. Part of this is training programs. It would be awesome if we could have a question type where we upload an image and mark ‘correct’ areas that we would want them to point to. They would click the image where they think the answer would be and based off that we could then enhance checking in on knowledge retention. This could also be used for anything where you would upload a photo and ask people to click what best matches them type of thing. It would be a new type of engagement versus the current polls that exist.Again thanks for all y’all have created and also thank you for caring enough to ask your users what they want to see!! Craig Henry
I think you should be able to add sounds, videos or images to your slido quiz.
Hello,I would like to have the possibility that, when I open Slido in Webex, voting rights are granted only to certain participants. I regularly organize meetings attended both by members with voting rights and by guests who present ideas to be voted on. In this context, it is essential that only authenticated members (for example, those logged in with a password) are able to vote, which is currently not the case.At the moment, when I launch Slido in Webex during a meeting, all connected participants are allowed to vote, regardless of their status. This creates issues, especially when the tool is used for voting on important decisions or proposals (for example, draft laws), where the person presenting the proposal should not be allowed to vote. Even when this is explicitly stated, the system still permits that person to cast a vote. Please consider introducing an option that would restrict voting strictly to authorized participants.Thank you!
