Slido's Switcher app will be sunsetting in January 2025

We released the Switcher app in 2017 with the goal of enhancing the presentation experience by allowing seamless switching between Slido and any presentation. Slido Switcher addressed the need for a smooth and uninterrupted way to display polls and Q&A during events, using another device as a remote control. This innovation aimed to make it easier for presenters to engage with their audience without disrupting the flow of their presentations. With all that being said and after careful consideration, we have decided to discontinue the Slido Switcher app for the following reasons:Low usage: While we recognize the value it brings to regular users, the Switcher app is one of our lesser-used features. Its functionality is already fully covered by our PowerPoint and Google Slides integrations.   Outdated technology: Slido is currently transitioning to a new, more intuitive interface while also being completely revamped on the backend. Continuing to support the Switcher app would go again

🚧 Help Center under construction: A New Slido Interface is on the way!

 We’ve redesigned how you create and manage Slido as a host, with a complete new look. The new interface is rolling out gradually and so you might notice a few changes. But don’t worry! With a focus on efficiency and ease of use, Slido is now more intuitive than ever.You can watch the announcement with more info here 👇 In this article:Why the change? How do I know if I’m using new Slido? Are there Help Center resources for both interfaces? Can I switch back to old Slido?  Why the change? We wanted to simplify the process of creating Slidos, with a focus on eliminating friction points for our users. This meant that changes in design were needed to make it easier for users to locate and use more features. 📢 Call for Slido tips from our users

We are so impressed by how creative you all are in using Slido in meetings! That's why we'd like to ask you for help.Could you share your tips on how to use Slido during internal company meetings (ideally smaller team meetings)? The tips can be about your use case, facilitation, or meeting design.Here are three questions we'd love you to answer:How do you design your internal team meetings with Slido? (I.e. at what points do you use Slido and how?) Do you have any Slido tips or tricks that work well for you?  (This can relate to the product, meeting facilitation, general engagement with Slido, or meeting structure) BONUS: Where does Slido bring you the biggest value during your team meetings?We will be extremely grateful for any tips that you're willing to share.  The more you're able to share, the better. We'd like to use some of these tips in our thought leadership report, either anonymized or attributed. Sunsetting Slido's Slack integration: Here's why and what's next

We're announcing today that we'll be turning off our Slack integration on November 30th. Two years ago, we launched our Slack app to make it easier for our users to collect questions without the need to leave Slack.I know that for some of you, the news may come as a surprise. Let me share how we came to this decision and what might come next. 🌇 Why we’re sunsetting our Slack integrationWith this integration, we wanted to bring Slido closer to where you work. Despite our best efforts, it missed the mark in a few ways:The feature enables users only to collect questions or ideas. If they want team members to upvote them, they have to leave Slack and do it in a browser.
