Data retention policy FAQs

Large organizations often set up data retention policies to protect their users’ data and ensure compliance with internal privacy guidelines. This article explains how data retention policies work in Slido, what they mean for users and how users can retain their data. Data retention policies are only available for Enterprise accounts with over 100 users. Team management analytics

If you’re managing an account with multiple users, it can be useful to see how they are using the account. This data can help you check whether your account is being used to full capacity and which users are the most engaged. What are Account Analytics?

As an Owner or Admin, you can use Slido Account Analytics to get an overview of data you collected from all your events. Using this, you will be able to view and download insightful statistics about average event engagement, popular topics, most active events, and more. If you have any additional users in your Slido organization, you can monitor their usage and manage your license based on the data per quarter. Set up Member (SCIM) provisioning

Member provisioning in Slido Admin implements the SCIM protocol and enables you to manage members in Team Management using your Identity Provider (IdP). At the moment, we have verified member provisioning setups for Okta, OneLogin, Microsoft Azure and Auth0 IdPs. However, it is entirely possible to use our implementation of the SCIM protocol with any other IdP that adheres to SCIM standards. Available in our Enterprise and Institution plans. Domain claim for your company

You can prompt all new users with your company domains to become part of your centralized Slido license using Domain Claim. Users under a restricted domain will not be able to create their own accounts or be invited to accounts outside of the main one, excluding Guest access. Domain claim applies to the whole company domain. To keep Slido available, the number of user seats in your license must be equal or higher than the total number of Slido users in your company.Available for Enterprise and Institution licenses with at least 100 additional users. Embed Slido into an event app

Integrate Slido with Hopin

If you’re using Hopin, you can integrate Slido into any area of the Hopin event - be it reception, stage, session, or expo booth.This will allow your attendees to interact with Slido directly from Hopin. As an admin, you cannot manage Slido from Hopin. You’ll still need to do so using another browser tab or device. Change the license owner

In some situations, an Owner of the license may wish to transfer the ownership to someone else. This action can only be done from the Owner's account. Available in our Engage plan (Annual and EDU) and higher. In this article:Assign the new Owner from the existing license members Transfer the license to a new person Transfer the license if the Owner has left the company After the transfer, we also recommend updating the name of your organization to reflect the change. Transfer event ownership

If a member of your organization left the company, or if someone needs full admin rights for a single event, you can transfer events to another member of your organization in just a few clicks. Manage access of your organization members

As the owner or admin under the license, you can set the team roles and permissions when inviting new colleagues to join your team but also later on when you already have a list of people with access to your team account. If you wish to invite new users to your team account, there are two ways to do it. You can either invite a specific person by sending them an invitation email or you can get a unique link that you can share with colleagues. Sometimes you need help with approving questions and activating polls but don’t want to purchase another user seat. As an owner or admin, you can invite guest collaborators and assign them to help manage specific events for free. Deleting your Slido account

If you’ve created a duplicate account, started using your company's license, or simply stopped using Slido, you can delete your account permanently. If you are an owner of an annual license, you can change the ownership of the license. Here are the steps to delete your account with all associated data:Go to your profile menu in the top-right corner Expand Delete Account and click the button Type in your password to confirm Careful! Once you hit delete, it's gone forever. Deleting your account will not refund any license purchases automatically.If you can’t see the option to delete your account, send us an email at support@slido.com from the email address associated with your account and we'll do it on our side. List of data that will be deleted: By deleting your account, you will no longer be able to log in to your Slido account with your email address and password. Switch between two different organizations

With your Slido account, your email address can be associated with different organizations at the same time. Reset your Slido password

Are you having trouble logging in? Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. Click the following link to reset your password. If you know your password, but want to change it, you can do so in your Slido profile settings. If your account is linked to Gmail or SSO, your password for both your email and your Slido account is the same. Change your personal privacy settings

If you wish to control what kind of cookies Slido can use, you can change it in your profile Privacy Settings. You cannot opt out from required cookies, as they are necessary for basic functions. Change your password

You can change your current password in My profile section. This option is not available if you created your account with Gmail or SSO, as you're using your email's password to log in to Slido. To change your password, go to your email account settings. To change your current password:Navigate to the right upper corner of your Slido admin Click the circle with your initials and open the Profile menu Select your account name Click Change password Changing your password will sign you out of your devices. You'll need to enter the new password when you sign back in.

Update your account name and email address

If your email address changes or for any reason you have to create a new one, you can easily update both the account name and email in your profile menu. If your account is linked to Gmail or SSO, you can't change your email address via Slido. Contact us at support@slido.com if you need any help and we’ll take it from there. To update your account name and email: Click the icon with your initials in the top-right corner Select ‘Edit’ right next to your account name Update your information and click ‘Save’We will send you a verification email to your new email address. Export your list of joined participants

If you wish to export the list of participants who joined your event, you can do so in the Analytics tab. This is especially useful if you require your audience to enter their name and/or email address when joining the event. Otherwise, the export will display Anonymous values. The list includes every person who joined your event - including those who didn’t interact with it. To get the list of joined participants:Open the Analytics tab Select Export and Download export Choose Joined participants This is what the export looks like: Please note that there is a limit of 5000 joined participants for your event analytics to load and for you to export the list yourself. Use Slido as a guest collaborator

As a guest administrator, you can help an event owner with setting up and running a Slido event. You’re able to create, activate and edit polls, moderate and answer questions, and even access event analytics.
