Elections

I need to conduct 3 voting cycles:

  1. Choosing a chairperson: there are 2 candidates, for each one the participants should mark if they are for the candidate, against him or abstain.
  2. Shortlisting members: there are 7 candidates, for each one the participants should mark if they are for the candidate, or they can decide not to mark anything. It should be possible to mark all 7 of them.
  3. Electing members: there are 5 candidates, for each one the participants should mark if they are for the candidate, against the candidate or abstain.

All of the above should be conducted without anyone knowing what each person voted. I’d have to know when all of the participants had voted. I’ll have under 100 participants.

  • Is the above possible on Slido?
  • If so, will I have to join one of the paid plans?

Thank you very much.

Hello @Sima Daniel

  1. If you wish to assign 3 options (Vote for, Vote against, Abstain) for each candidate, you can create 2 separate Multiple choice polls (1 poll per each candidate). Each poll would have 3 options and participants could pick only 1 option.
  2. For this case, you can again create Multiple choice poll, with 7 names as options. Within your Poll settings, you can toggle on Multiple options to allow your participants to select more than one answer option.
  3. For this case, you can again create 5 separate multiple choice polls, one for each candidate, and follow the same instructions as in the first scenario.

You can always decide to hide or reveal your poll results for participants, in your poll settings, as described here.

With our free Basic plan, you can create up to 3 polls per one slido session. That meaning, if you wish to create more then 3 polls, you’d need to use one of our paid plans. Please see our pricing page here. We offer One-time plans and Annual plans.

Hope this answers your questions!

Thank you so much, @Kat from Slido, for your quick and detailed reply.

Is there a way that I can create one poll that will include 5 candidates, with 3 choices per candidate (for, against, abstain)? It’s important to me that the voters will view the names of all the candidates at the same time and on the same screen.

Hello @Sima Daniel

You could use our Survey Poll for that. Surveys allow you to ask multiple poll questions at the same time (basically you can group 5 multiple polls into 1 survey). I’m sending a screenshot below to demonstrate how it would roughly look like for your participants

Hopefully this would help.

Thank you again, @Kat from Slido. For the option you suggested I’d have to pay for a plan, at least “Engage”, right?

Hi @Sima Daniel

You’re very welcome! And yes - our Survey poll is available in all our paid plans (starting with Engage plan).

Take care!

Best,
