Slido for PowerPoint

Hi,I’m Sello. I’m a beginner Slido user and I’d like to learn more about Slido with goal to drive engagement during online classes, webinars and meetings that we deliver in our organisation. I am very keen to improve from normal or traditional lecture offering and get students to be actively participating.

I have a presentation for an event with a pretty large audience of about 700 attendees.  I included a QR code in my powerpoint but now notice I will not be able to login remotely from stage.  I know there’s a way to integrate with powerpoint but I’m not handling the PP, a remote event staff will.    Is this the right product for what I’m looking for?  (it’s supposed to be audience participation part of the presentation, about 5 minutes out of my 1 hr keynote)

I can not  activate my slido presentation, any thoughts

Hi all,I’m experiencing a problem after an update on the Slido add-in. It asked for an update while I was using PowerPoint and since then it doesn’t show up as add-in icon on Home tab.I tried reinstalling, repairing, also with Slido for Admin but it doesn’t come up and even making changes in registry editor but still nothing. Only thing that I notice is when parameters in registry editor changes, add-in transfers from inactive to active add-ins and becomes active in list of add-ins in PowerPoint. Following, check box is checked when I try to enable Slido but unfortunately there is no luck.Is there any solution that I can try to manage it or I just have to wait for new Slido update?Thank you in advance

Hi, I have created a slido to use in powerpoint in training, also downloaded the slido for powerpoint part.  When using a sharepoint versoin of my powerpoint the slido pages are there, but when I download a copy to use off line some of the pages disappear - why is this? 

Hi,Our EA has purchased Slido and keeps on having the message “New update is ready’ , with the prompt to ‘Restart now’.   Its not stopping from the appp working in Power Point.  However I have installed it on my PC, and I have been able to replicate the problem.   Has this been reported by others? and what is the fix?

Hi team, Slido is not loading in PowerPoint currently. There is a blank space. Can you please help?  

New to Slido, but just subscribed and on the first paid tier. I’ve installed the PowerPoint Add-In, but have immediately discovered a major issue that is likely to render it useless for 90% of my needs. The add-in does not recognise being online when I’m tethering the internet through my mobile/cellphone.The only way to get it to work is by connecting to a different wifi. Interested to know if anyone else has had this issue, and if they’ve managed to find a workaround.

I am trying to change my password so I can log on to Slido on a different computer. It is telling me “If you created your account with Google or SAML SSO, the option to change your password will not be available to you.” I cannot find a way to change this. Do I need to create a new Slido account and start over? The Slido account is on my personal Mac, I want to use it on a powerpoint on a work PC. Thank you

Hi guys, a co-host tried to embed her slido to ppt but she couldn’t proceed because she does not have the “settings” button on the left of her screen

Been using slido without problems for a few years. In the last week it keeps telling me I’m offline or logged out when I get to the slido slide in powerpoint presentation. I am neither offline or logged out. Definitely not offline as all other programmes are fine. I’ve tried logging out of slido and logging back in, then sometimes it works, sometimes not. I’ve uninstalled slido for powerpoint and reinstalled, so definitely on latest version.Last night whilst presenting a slidedeck, it looked fine before I started, but when I get to the question, it said on the participants phone that there was no active polls. I had to make do without slido for the presentation.This morning I have started a new slido from scratch (rather than duplicate) but it is still doing it. I have another session this evening and I need this to work or I’ll quickly have to set up a mentimeter.Any help gratefully recieved 

Hi allI updated Slido for Powerpoint to version to v1.22.0.7725 this morning but it then Slido refused to open at all which was incredibly frustrating as I had an online lecture which used Slido throughout. (Home computer running Windows 10 and Powerpoint then sharing the window in Teams). I had to keep switching to the present mode in a Chrome tab to make use of the features which completely defeats the point of having Slido in the first place.I have uninstalled, reinstalled, tried the admin version with no success. It appears Slido for Windows is not loading up in COM Add-ins and unchecks itself / there is a run time error. I have repaired and reinstalled .NET frameworks. Nothing is working.I have just checked my laptop (Windows 11) and Slido works fine on there but I have declined the update so far. Can I have a link for the previous version whjch I can use on my desktop please?I have never had an issue with Slido not working before and need it as I present frequently as a universit

Hello,I have a staff here at our company that have gotten prompted by Slido to update their Slido version in Powerpoint and when they do that it no longer works or shows in the tool bar of Powerpoint.  They are running Office, Powerpoint 2016.  16.0.4266.1001.  The Slido plug in shows up under the File menu, Options and Add-ins as an Inactive Application Add-in and I can’t seem to get it to activate. I am wondering if I can install an older version again to get them back up and running or is there a better way to fix this?Thank you,Brent

Microsoft PowerPower recently published an update that makes it no longer compatible with the Slido Add-in.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled, reactive manually and nothing works.  What is being done to resolve this capability issue?

I’m using Slido in MS Powerpoiont. I received and update (SlidoSetup_v1.22.1.7801) and now the add-in won’t load. HELP! 

I have a presentation on Tuesday, June 2.  I loaded 3 questions for open answers.  I then paid the upgrade fee and yet the system won’t let me add a fourth question.

How can we have names associated with each person’s answer?

We want to use Slido in a meeting to rank priorities, but my boss wants to be able to add in options live in case members want to add something we’ve missed - is this possible to do mid-presentation without me coming out of presenter view and everyone seeing me do it?

We would like to silent install Slido for Powerpoint on macOS and without being prompted for an admin password. We use Jamf to deploy the app, I followed the instructions to silent install, used the command but as soon as the user launches the app, it prompts for admin password. Please let me know if there is a way to suppress it or bypass it. The admin prompt says that ‘Slido wants to make changes. Enter admin password.’

My PowerPoint slides are locked by Slido when I try to save them, and I can't save them. What should I do?Is it because I'm using the free version that the quiz limits me to a maximum of 3 questions?

I’m being driven insane… I’m working on a powerpoint deck with Slido integrated, and every day my connection to Slido breaks, and I get the error message “Web browser blocked by anti-virus” I have NO idea how I’m able to fix it, and then it breaks the next day.  Can anyone help, please?  I’m using Chrome, am on Windows, and have Sophos as my antivirus.

Hi there, I’m considering using Slido for a university open day and over the day there will be around 50 talks happening that would like to involve a Q&A component. Each talk will be based on a different topic and i was wondering if i could use one account for this but have different Q&A sessions running at the same time and how this would work. Would each session need to have a unique QR code or would each have the same QR code and then potentially a code for the guests in that session to enter to then be in the correct Slido Q&A for that session? The QR code would be show on a powerpoint up on the screen and i feel it may be easier for this QR to be universal accross the presentations but then there being a way for the quests to enter the correct session Q&A through the platform. I worry if i need to put 50 unique QRs across the presentations that some may get jumbled and guests ending up in the wrong slido Q&A. Cheers, Tom 

Is it possible to hide survey (not poll) questions when presenting live?I would like people to fill the survey while they are in the room, but I don’t want the questions to show up in my PowerPoint because I have a few more slides to show after the survey.
