Users in mainland China have reported issues with Slido’s participant mode since mid-December.
Since then, our team has investigated the situation in collaboration with our infrastructure host (AWS). We’ve confirmed that no recent configuration changes on our end could have caused this behavior – and it appears the root cause is related to a block from China’s mobile carriers.
We have limited influence over the network environment in China, but we are doing everything within our power to address the issue alongside our AWS partners.
It has been reported that most people are able to access Slido using company networks and that the issue is mostly related to local networks. While we explore on our side, it may also be beneficial to reach out to your mobile provider directly to request assistance
The use of company networks is the best recommendation we can provide at this time, but we will provide updates here as we have them.
