I’m wondering if it is possible in the word cloud function to allow participants to select a colour that we can link to their team so we can see the results and know which team they come from?

Keen to get a bit deeper with understanding the responses from different teams and showing the collective group how different teams feel,

it is not possible to do that with our word-cloud poll as the responses are sometimes grouped. For example if two people would post the same word - then the word would appear bigger.
The only possible option for your use case is running an open-text poll in which the responses could be posted under a specific name. That would allow you to scroll through the responses and know who posted which answer.
