Question

Slido for Windows Setup/Update

Tried installing the update today. Now I’m getting two messages with the installer:

  • Sorry We couldn’t install the Add-In! 0x80070643 - Fatal error during installation
  • “The Installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 26352.

Hello @Johan Clemente ARHS

Mikaella here from Slido -  happy to help!

We are aware of this experience happening and our tech team is working on it. One of the workarounds was either installing the previous version of slido or using a different MSI installer from your IT admin. We had feedback from our tech team, and if you can revert to your IT support or IT Admin, they will be able to fix the configuration for you colleagues on their side with the following steps:

  1. Enable the user to install the certificate - this is required by latest Microsoft Security Baseline policies ( this is a guide from Microsoft Teams)
  2. Install Slido using MSI for each employee who needs the integration

In the meantime, I know your slido session is urgent and your colleagues still aren't able to install slido, I would recommend using our Slido for Google Slides or three finger trackpad trick.  For Google Slides, you can ‘Import” your powerpoint presentation into Google Slides and use our Slido for Google Slides integration instead.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!

My best,

Mikaella from slido
