I am a teacher at UNCW and bought Slido premium to take attendance in my class of 150 students.  I need to add 150 students, by name, to my multiple choice slide.  However, my Slido slide will not allow me to add any more than 20 “options” in my multiple choice poll.  How do I increase the number of options to 150?

Hey @motorized pulley ,

Each poll has a character limit, and with 150 names seems it may reach that limit.

A suggested workaround for taking attendance would be to require name and email when joining the Slido, each student puts in their name and school email and then maybe using a word cloud poll as an ice breaker? “How are you feeling today?” or something fun for them to respond to.

Then you can export the Joined participant list, and check that with the “poll results per user” export which would show you that all 150 students joined the Slido and also submitted a response to the word cloud poll.

Would this work for you?

Let us know, if you have any other questions!

Best,

PROBLEM ONE:  Another teacher showed me how to upload my csv of all students into the poll.  So, we solved that problem.

PROBLEM TWO:  However, yesterday my Slido icon in my PPT presentation kept showing an error message requesting that I sign in.  I was signed in, but it would not recognize that.

Note that my Slido slide worked seamlessly during my 1/13/25 lecture.

Yesterday, I tried to open PPT an Slido in three different computers and rebooted one of them three times...to no avail.  Finally, in my lecture hall I had to resort to: (1.) opening my PPT presentation, (2.) logging onto Slido website and selecting the required slide, (3.) opening and using my PPT presentation for my lecture, (4.) closing my PPT during the lecture, (5.) showing the Slido slide to take attendance, (6.) closing the Slido slide, and (7.) returning to my PPT presentation during my lecture.

This was very cumbersome.  I hope you can fix the problem.  I paid $84.00 to get premium service, but am a little disappointed so far.
