Hi, I can’t find a way to use a poll in several slido activities. I can duplicate them, but then I have the same polls in the same active. That doesn`t help.

Or is it possible to move a poll from one active to another one?

Hey @Wordflow ,

Could you explain a bit more about your set up and what you want to use Slido for?

I’m not sure i understand what you mean by duplicating the poll in the same active?

You can only have 1 poll active in a Slido at one time, unless you create them as a Survey. Would this help?

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Best,

Hi, my English is not very good, but I will try to explain.

I use slido for Live-polls. And I have some trainings with a lot of questions in polls (quizzes). Some of the questions I want to use in more than one, or different, polls. But I can`t copy them to other polls.

I hope this explains my problem.

Hello @Wordflow

I assume you would like to copy some questions from one quiz to another. Such feature currently doesn’t exists as it is possible to copy and paste only entire quiz. But copying just one question from the quiz to another can be done via selecting the text and manually copying it by pressing Ctrl+C (on Windows) or Command+C (on Mac) and then pasting them to another quiz.

Sorry, but this should be a basic function. Copy and paste for more then 80 questions couldn't be the way. I often read in this forum that function is not realized. But don't you use this points to make Slido better?

I hope the function will be there in some weeks.

Hello @Wordflow

I will pass your feedback to the team but at this point it is not in our roadmap so I cannot provide you with any ETA or whether it will be added to Slido in the future.

In case you have more questions in a quiz that you would like to re-use I would advice duplicating entire quiz and then adding the remaining questions manually and removing questions that you do not need to use. This would be the only workaround of copying just part of the questions.

@Ondrej from Slido - I believe this functionality exist in the previous version of SLIDO. I’m not sure why the team deprecated this functionality, but it is a HUGE miss and the product team knows it’s missing.

The way we run our in-person and virtual events requires me to often copy Slido questions from event to event. The loss of this functionality in the new interface means I have to re-type each interaction (this could be a poll, survey, or other type of interaction). As a result, I often switch to the old interface (see image below - bottom option).

Please keep the ability to use the old interface until this feature is brought into the new interace

@Wordflow - Try switching to the “old slido” to get the copy function you seek.

Hi @Back_that_SaaS_Up

The ability to easily reuse your previously created polls is definitely returning before the old interface goes away 👍

And one other tip that may or may not help @Wordflow – you can also duplicate an entire slido. This creates a brand new slido that includes all of the polls you’d added to the original, just without any results. You can then easily delete the ones you don’t need.

I wanted to share that just in case it helps.

Hi, thank you for this information. I changed to the old version, but I can’t find the function

Hello @Wordflow

I have just tested it with the old interface and the way how you could copy it is via using the templates feature in the old host mode. Here is a video I made for you showing how to find your own templates in Slido. I also decided to show you how a quiz can be selected and then you can just remove questions that you don’t want to use: https://app.vidcast.io/share/6d9c8792-4888-4534-95de-df5eebe4c143

I hope this helps

Thanks for your advice. Its not a very good way, but it helps a bit
