Due to Slido’s compliance with the applicable exports and contracts regulations, we are not able to provide services in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.

Slido is also currently blocked in Russia and Belarus, read more about why here.

 

In practice, this means that if you are based in one of the mentioned countries or regions, you can’t use Slido as a service. This affects both Slido hosts as well as people who would like to join Slido as participants.

 

Slido in China: In general, Slido should not be blocked for use in China. However, this is subject to change without our notice. If using Slido within China, please see the below best practices for the best experience.

  • Use a strong and stable internet connection for the laptop with the present view to help ensure the results update in real-time
  • Using a VPN when presenting Slido can promote a better experience for all 
  • Test your setup beforehand – ideally using the same location and network that you will use when presenting
