I wanted to check whether it's possible to add external users or guest email addresses to help manage and collaborate on Slido sessions.
At the moment, I'm able to add my colleagues as co-hosts without any issues. However, when I try to add external email addresses, they appear as "guests," and upon receiving the invite, they're prompted to sign in via Webex—without being granted access to manage the session.
Is there a specific license or setting required to allow external guests to co-host or manage Slidos? Any clarification on what’s supported under our current setup would be greatly appreciated.
Hello @Albina Prajapati
Absolutely! You can basically invite anybody to help you manage your slido session as co-host.
However, the difference might be between inviting members of the same license as co-hosts and inviting external users. External co-hosts are listed as Guests within Team management. This is to distinguish them from internal co-hosts who are listed as members.
Please note that shareable links are not available for organizations with member SSO including Webex licenses.
You’ll find all relevant information in our community guide Use co-hosts to collaborate and help manage slidos.
I believe and hope this’ll help, but please, reach out to us at support@slido.com in case of any other questions. We’ll be happy to help further from there.
All the best!
I am trying to invite guests but on inviting them, when they try to access the slidos they are prompted to login to Webex and unable to access it.
Hello @Albina Prajapati,
Mikaella here from Slido - happy to help!
Sorry to hear about your experience, can I kindly ask you to share the #slido session code or #event code to support@slido.com, so we can investigate this further with you?
Looking forward to your email and working together to resolve this.
My best,
Mikaella from slido customer care.

I can confirm this behavior.
As a webex licenced user of Slido, it seems impossible to add guest moderators to a Q&A Slido. The invite is received by the mail address, but upon opening, the new moderator is asked to login with webex. Because no account is present, the process comes to a grinding halt.
It is also unclear why the shareable link is missing from my options. The explanation on the help pages is meaningless.
Please note that shareable links are not available for organizations with member SSO including Webex licenses
At no point is it clear where you can check if this setting is applicable to your account or how to change it (if even possible).
Kind regards
Hi @Roald Santens!
In order to allow external guests to collaborate and accept invitations to a slido, you would need to make sure you exclude Externals guest from the SSO/Webex login. Information on this setting can be found here and it can be changed by the owner of the license.
Once that setting is checked, you can invite external guests to one slido at a time.
As far as the sharable links not being available for Webex and accounts that use SSO, this is just a limitation with our system.
Hope this helps! If you still have trouble after trying the above, feel free to reach out support@slido.com for more assistance.
Hello @Christyn from Slido
Thank you for the extra information. I have ultimately figured it out.
The checkbox had to be checked, even if the rest of the form on that page stays empty.
If I may make a suggestion: it is not clear from the documentation that Webex login for a host is included in this SSO login logic. It is especially confusing when there is also stated elsewhere that you cannot implement SSO when using the Webex login. So with the other fields on SSO settings page greyed out, it was not obvious that that checkbox was available, and had to be checked.
Maybe add this extra info, and as a separate item to the documentation.
Kind regards
Roald
