Slido is gradually rolling out a new user interface. If the below steps and visuals match what you are seeing within your account, then you are using the old interface and this article is for you. If not, please see this version.

As an admin, you can reply to any question your participants submit via Slido. This way you can answer question in a written form or leave a message to a question that is not relevant for the Q&A.

Available in all our plans.

Reply to questions for review

With the moderation on, you can reply to questions waiting for review. Such a reply will be private, so only the person who submitted the question can see the response.

  1. In the Admin mode, click the 3 dots next to the question
  2. Click Private reply
  3. Type your reply and Send it

When you reply to someone's question, the person will see a notification.

While under review, private replies are visible only to the person who submitted the question. However, private replies become visible for everyone after the question is approved and set as live.

Reply to unanswered questions

If you're not able to address all submitted questions during your event, you can add Admin replies anytime after the Q&A. You can then send a link to your event to everyone so they can go through your replies.

  1. Reply to the outstanding questions
  2. Click Share in your event
  3. Send the event link to your participants

Alternatively, you can export all your questions from Slido to Excel or Google Sheets, add the responses using your preferred method and share them with others.

You can change your name from "Moderator" to anything you like. Click on the pencil icon next to "Moderator" and change it. New admin replies will use the new name.

We set a limit of 1,000 characters per reply. We hope that's enough!
