Slido is gradually rolling out a new user interface. If the below steps and visuals match what you are seeing within your account, then you are using the new interface and this article is for you. If not, please see this version.

The most common way for your audience to join your slido is by entering the customizable code at www.slido.com. This will grant them access during the dates that you’ve set up.

Your participants can also join Slido using a link or QR code, which will grant them instant access (even outside of your dates). This can be useful for crowdsourcing questions or poll votes before your meeting, event, class, or webinar even starts.

You can then share the slido Joining link, QR code, or code in whatever way is best for your participants. You can add it to a calendar invitation, an email, or even post it to your team messaging tool such as Slack, Microsoft Teams or Webex.

We recommend customizing your slido code to something that’s easy to remember and unique to your slido.

The Share button

The Share button in the upper right corner of your slido is where you can access your slido’s joining link and QR code.

The Share button is also where you can invite Co-hosts to help manage your Slido. Check out our Co-host guide to learn more.

Helpful tips:

  • Use our template for inviting people to join your slido
Sending an email to your attendees prior to your event or meeting? Check out our template for inspiration.
  • Introduce Slido and run a warm-up poll
To drive interaction during your meeting, conference, class, or webinar, introduce Slido at the very beginning. Run a quick and fun warm-up poll to get things started. Your audience will then be more likely to participate in more polling and Q&A later on.

  • Don't forget to open Present mode during your meeting or event
When your meeting or event takes place, make sure that you're displaying Slido Present mode in fullscreen to the audience. Not only is it the main way of visually representing questions and poll results, it also displays both your slido code and QR code – making it super easy for participants to join at any time. Click the green Present button in the bottom right corner of your slido to open it.

Use Present mode to display Slido for your audience

Present mode also has a control bar that allows you to run all of your polling and Q&A while presenting
