Hello! Is it possible to lock a poll while presenting using PowerPoint? I would like to capture the initial analytics of the question and prevent my students from changing their responses while we discuss the correct answer.

Hey @JasmineParent ,

To lock voting you would need to have your Slido account pulled up with the event on a separate screen. There is not currently a way to lock voting from Present mode.

We will submit this as feedback to the team for consideration.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Best,

Another vote here for having autolock when you reveal the right answer.

I use Slido for in-class quiz questions. I was excited to finally have Mac PP integration. Having used Slido for almost a decade, I was used to 1. display quiz question 2. lock from voting 3. display right answer. I figured that since the PP integration went straight from #1 to #3, it was locked. I was shocked to discover, in front of 400 students, that they were changing their answers WHILE THE RIGHT ANSWER WAS BEING DISPLAYED. This obviously defeats the whole purpose of Slido’s quiz function. Please update this. I was happy to not have to use my phone anymore to control the quiz, but from the answer to @JasmineParent, it now looks like I will continue to have to do this.

Hi @Rickheyman

Just to clarify - the quiz feature still works in a way that as soon as you show how people have voted, the voting is closed and participants cannot change their votes. The limitation applies to the multiple-choice poll. Can I check with you if you are using the quiz feature or the multiple-choice polls?

Thanks. I will switch to 1 item quizzes. (We sprinkle 4-5 lectures throughout the lecture.) A big problem with quizzes is that even if you indicate that you do not want the leaderboard, it shows it anyway. It is a violation of U.S. law to display publicly how students perform. Is there any way to disable it completely? I will make sure to basically double click when moving away from the correct answer bar graph so that they can’t really see it, but it would be a huge help to allow users to disable the leaderboard.

Thank you for sharing more about your use-case @Rickheyman!

That is true, because the leaderboard has to be shown at least once at the end of the quiz based on the logic we have this set up with. I cannot think of another solution at the moment, but I will share this as feedback with our team. I can see this as a very handy solution, so hopefully we can bring more options in the future.
