Slido offers many different ways to customize the audience experience. Besides our self-service options like using custom colors and branding, or setting up different participant privacy settings, Slido also offers Advanced customizations performed by our technical teams.
These extra customizations can tailor your Slido experience even further to meet your specific needs.
Advanced customizations are available for Professional plans for an additional fee. They are free of charge for Enterprise, Premium, Institution, and Webex paid plans. They are not available for Basic or Engage plans.

What types of customizations can be done?
Our technical experts can do a lot in the background to customize a slido. These customizations can be done both for individual slidos, or for all slidos on a license level.
Some of the requests that we perform regularly are:
- Hiding light or dark mode: Customize your slido so that no user can change from light to dark mode, or vice versa.
- Changing text direction: Adjust the text direction to accommodate a specific language.
- Hiding the joining instructions: Hide the “Join at slido.com #slidocode” instructions from your slido’s Present mode. Note that this is different from white-labeling, which we cannot do for any slido.

Pricing
As stated above, backend customizations are free for Enterprise, Premium, Institution, and Webex paid plans. For Professional plans (both annual and one-time licenses), the pricing is as follows:
- Single Slido: 200 USD/GBP/AUD/CAD/EUR or 30k YEN for up to three customizations
- License-level: 400 USD/GBP/AUD/CAD/EUR or 60k YEN for up to three customizations
Note that License-level customizations are applied automatically to any slidos created after the customization is put in place. Previously created slidos will not be affected.
How do I request a customization?
Send an email with your request to support@slido.com. Remember to send the request from an email address that has access to the slido or license.
In other words, license level requests must come from license owners. And single slido requests must come from individual slido owners.
Pro tip: When requesting a customization on a single slido, make sure to include the slido code which will speed up the process.
Advanced customizations require a seven day lead time. We cannot guarantee any last minute requests.
FAQs
Can I reuse a slido you’ve already customized, or would I need to purchase again?
Yes, you can reuse the customized slido without any additional purchase. Simply duplicate your slido and you should be all set.
What if I change my mind and don’t really need the customization after all, can I get my money back?
Backend customizations are non-refundable. If you’re unsure about whether or not a customization is a good fit for you, reach out to support@slido.com so we can discuss your use case.
Can I request more than three customizations?
Yes, of course. Any more than three simply requires another charge.
