There is not any special formatting options for the text of your poll questions. I would be happy to submit your feedback as a feature request. Would you care to share your use case as an example?

Yes, please do share. And please do point out that there is a strange irony to the fact that I do have the option to change formatting in the box in which I am currently typing my response to the community thread/discussion board, but I do not have the option to do so on the poll questions that I have created.
