I am support a conference. We will have 4 sessions happening at the same time, in various time blocks.

We have created a separate rooms for each session. How do I allow for all the polls (mostly multiple choice) to be live or able to engage with the participants at the same time? Is there a button I can turn on to activate all the rooms within the same timeblock? and within those rooms, all the polling questions be ready to recieve submissions? I will not be able to be in each room and activate individual poll questions as we get to them in the presentation.

Hi @LMA edu

Great question, this comes up a lot with multi-track events.

At the moment, there isn’t a way to “activate” all polls across multiple rooms or sessions at once. Each room works independently, and within each room you can only have one poll active at a time.

That said, since you mentioned you’re running presentations, there’s a helpful workaround:

If you’re using PowerPoint or Google Slides, you can use our Slido integrations to control polls directly from the presentation. As the presenter moves through their slides and reaches a Slido slide, the poll will automatically go live, no need for someone to manually activate it in the admin.

This is usually the best setup for parallel sessions, since each speaker/room can run their own polls seamlessly without extra coordination.

You can check out how it works here:

Hope that helps!

This is helpful!

we are using the powerpoint integration and i tested the polls and they seem to be working!

Is this automatic opening of polls within the ppt integration as the presenter clicks into the slide new? A previous colleague who ran this had mentioned to someone that after every time block, she would have to go into the slido website and activate the next group of rooms / polls.

Hi @LMA edu

When presenting in Power Point, you can simply progress through your slides, either by clicking the arrow key button or using a PC mouse. Slido polls will automatically activate as you progress through your slides. The results will update in real time on your slide and on participant devices.

Here’s our helpful guide on how to use Slido live with Power Point.

I hope that helps!

All the best,
