I have changed the Participany Privacy to “Always require name” but it is not forcing participants to add a name and is still allowing for anonymous posts. Can anyone tell me how to fix that?

Turning on Always Require Name should force all your participants to enter a name from the point it’s turned on. Anonymous submissions from before the setting is turned on will remain anonymous.
Participants can use any names, including “Anonymous”. It is also possible for them to change their name in their Profile. Once changed, the new name will apply to any previously submitted questions and poll votes.
It’s may be worth checking that you have turned this setting on in the correct slido. You can check the setting is turned on by testing it in the participant view (accessed by clicking the button on the lower right of your slido host mode in your browser.
