Slido for Windows – Unable to Completely Uninstall MSI/Application and PowerPoint Add-in

Hi Slido Community,

We are currently packaging Slido for Windows for enterprise deployment using PSAppDeployToolkit (PSADT) and SCCM. Our requirement is to create an uninstall package that completely removes all installed versions of Slido, regardless of which version is installed.

We have identified multiple Slido versions in our environment, including 1.10.0 through 1.23.0, with different MSI Product Codes.

Requirement

The uninstall package should:

• Remove all installed versions of Slido for Windows.
• Remove Slido from Programs and Features / Add or Remove Programs.
• Remove the Slido PowerPoint Add-in completely.
• Handle installations regardless of whether Slido is installed under:
  • C:\Program Files
  • C:\Program Files (x86)
  • %LOCALAPPDATA%
  • Other user-specific installation locations.
• Work without hardcoding individual Product Codes, if possible.
• Ideally identify the application based on the ARP/DisplayName "Slido for Windows" and uninstall all matching MSI installations.
• Run silently with no user prompts.
• Work correctly when deployed through SCCM/PSADT under the appropriate execution context.
• Leave no residual Slido files, add-ins, or application registration behind.

Issue

We have tried several approaches:

1. msiexec /x {ProductCode} /qn
2. PSADT Execute-MSI -Action Uninstall
3. PSADT Remove-MSIApplications
4. Removing individual Product Codes identified from our SCCM/SQL inventory.
5. Manually deleting the Slido user folder.

The uninstall process can report exit code 0 / successful completion, but Slido still appears in Add or Remove Programs and the Slido PowerPoint add-in can remain present.

We also observed cases where MSI returns:

Error 1605 – This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

However, the Slido application still appears to be installed/registered.

Question

What is the officially recommended enterprise method to completely uninstall Slido for Windows, including all MSI registrations and the PowerPoint add-in?

Is there a Slido-provided cleanup/uninstall tool, command, registry cleanup procedure, or documented enterprise deployment/uninstallation method that should be used instead of relying only on the MSI Product Code?

Also, are there any specific PowerPoint add-in registration locations, per-user components, or cached installer components that must be removed separately for a complete uninstall?
