Hi,

I hope this is the right channel to post this question.

So, here’s the thing. We want to launch a survey to all our employees in lots of countries in Europe. e.g. Germay, Italy, Poland.

Our colleagues from compliance /GDPR would like to know if Slido collects IP addresses of the respondents to the survey.

thank you

Mirela

Hi, @Mirela Tania

Absolutely, our Community is a great place to ask!

To answer your main question, yes, we do collect IP addresses as part of the technical data. It’s automatically collected when you use our services or view the content provided by Slido.

However, we value the privacy of participants and we’re committed to maintain it. We would not share any direct or indirect information about participants (including IP address) without a law enforcement request.

You can learn more about what we collect and why we need it in our Privacy Policy.

Also, let me share the link to Compliance part of our Security page which might be useful for your company. This security FAQ answers the part about IP addresses in more detail if needed.

Hope this helps!
