This is currently not possible in the new interface of Slido however, for now, there is still an option to add Ideas in the old interface.
After switching you can go to the settings/features and enable Ideas feature. That will allow you to create a topic and after activating it your participants can vote on the submissions.
The Ideas feature may or may not be included in the final version of our new interface. Instead, you can use Q&A for idea submission and upvoting, or simply use an open text poll.

I wanted to let you know that the ability to switch interfaces is going away on May 27th this year and that the Ideas feature will not be included in the new interface. It was a tough decision for our teams to make, but you can read all about our reasoning in this announcement.
