How to I stop the audience from changing their answer on a multiple choice poll. At the moment participants can submit an answer but the poll still remains. Therefore, they can submit another answer which overrides their original selection. I only want people to select one option and not be able to change their answer!
Hi @HATCH
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to disable “edit response” in a poll.
There is a workaround though! You can keep the results hidden when you activate your poll, allow your participants a little time to submit their answers, then lock the voting so that they can’t change their vote (this will prevent them from editing the response once it’s locked) and just show the results while the voting is locked.
Please, let me know if this workaround works for you :)
My polls are out of order in the presenter mode even though they are correctly ordered in the admin dashboard. How do I fix this ?
Hi @THWL,
Sorry to hear this. Could you reach out to our customer care team? They should be able to look into this a little deeper.
You can reach out to us at support@slido.com.
Hope this helps!
Best,
In the new interface, I’m unable to modify the correct answer in a poll after voting has taken place. In the older version, however, there is an 'Edit' option that allows selecting a different correct answer. For now, I’ll continue using the old version, but I hope this option can be added to the new one.
Hello @Juan.cheva
would you be able to share a screen recording with us of how it looks like?
I have tested it with my multiple choice poll and I was able to edit the poll response even after someone voted.
Hello @Ondrej from Slido
Thank you for your response. I’m sending links for two videos showing the difference between the old and new interfaces. In the old interface, I can edit the correct answer after voting, but in the new interface, this option doesn’t appear.

Hey @Juan.cheva ,
Thanks for sharing this!
When you’re in New Host Mode, all you would need to do is click on the option you want to edit and you can delete and change it, there is no “edit” button anymore. Could you let us know if you’re able to do this?
I will share this feedback with the team so we can edit our Quiz article to reflect how to edit a Quiz while it is active.
Best,
Hello @Carly from Slido
Thank you for the follow-up! Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to resolve the issue as you described. Even when I try to click on the option to edit, it doesn’t allow me to change the correct answer
For context, I use Quiz question in a game format where participants predict the winner. Once the game is over, I update the correct answer based on the actual winner so each participant can see how many predictions they got right. Unfortunately, without the option to modify the answer post-vote in the new interface, this format isn’t workable for my needs.
Thank you for sharing this with the team, I apologize if my explanation isn’t entirely clear, as English is not my first language
Best regards,
Juan
Hey @Juan.cheva ,
Ah, sorry for misunderstanding you!
I have reported this to the team and asked if this will change or not.
Right now, you would need to disable the Quiz to change the correct answer from the options.
The Old interface will be available until the beginning of 2025, so for now would using that work for your use case?
Let us know if you have any other questions!
Best,
