Our product team has been busy refining the new Host mode and bringing back the features you loved from the previous version. But that’s not all—we’ve got some brand-new additions we can’t wait for you to explore! Let’s dive right in.
AI-generated polls (BETA) in Google Slides integration
Create polls instantly from your Google Slides presentation text with just a few clicks! The Suggest Polls option makes it easier to add interactions while saving you lots of time.
Optimized for English, this feature is currently available to 50% of our Basic plan users and will be gradually rolled out to more.
Introducing paragraph breaks in open text answers
Paragraph breaks in open text polls are now supported! This makes it easier to read and understand detailed feedback, whether you're in Participant mode, Present mode or Host mode.
Improved automatic poll saving
Polls are now saved automatically, even if they’re incomplete. Whether you're setting up placeholder polls or planning to finish them later, they’ll be safely stored and appear in your interactions list. Say goodbye to worries about losing your work—now, even polls without a question or answer options are always secure.
Simplified privacy status options for individual slidos
Understanding the privacy status of your individual slidos just got much clearer. We’ve reduced the options to five simple statuses based on your privacy settings:
Privacy status | Privacy Settings |
---|---|
Public | Slido isn’t hidden from search, authentication is off or Basic |
Hidden | Slido is hidden from search, authentication is off or Basic |
Passcode | Authentication with a passcode is on |
Single sign-on | Authentication through Google or SAML is on |
Restricted access | Authentication through SAML and email domain restriction is on |

Add a description to your polls
You can provide your participants with additional context or explain the purpose of your poll by adding a description. With a clear understanding, your audience is more likely to share their thoughts, leading to higher engagement.
Jump to a question in a quiz
Quickly navigate to any question in your quiz, whether you’re skipping questions that are no longer relevant or resuming after a break. Simply click the arrow icon next to the desired quiz question to skip the default order.
Split a survey into individual polls
Easily split your survey into individual polls, saving you the hassle of recreating them one by one. Perfect for when you decide to run polls separately for more focused insights. Plus, you can merge selected polls back into a survey anytime.
Duplicate a poll into another room
Whether you want to run the same polls with different audiences or revisit them in future meetings, you can duplicate them across Slido multiple rooms without starting from scratch. We hope this saves you some valuable time!
Share a direct link to your poll or embed it on your website
Copy a direct link and send it to your audience to gather insights asynchronously. Or, embed a poll or survey on your website to make it more convenient for participants to engage and respond.
Edit participant question or host reply
Need to adjust a participant question or your own reply? No problem! You can now edit submitted questions, whether you're fixing a typo or providing a bilingual version. Both edited questions and replies will be marked as (edited), ensuring transparency while allowing for necessary adjustments. Participants can still re-edit their questions if needed.
Updated Share options
To make it more intuitive for you to share slido joining links with participants or invite co-hosts, we also redesigned our Share options. Hope you’ll find it useful.
