Slido’s new host interface was designed to create a simpler, more intuitive experience that allows all users to get the most out of our core features. And after much consideration, we’ve made the decision not to include the ability to disable polling in the new experience.
Polling is one of Slido’s core features, designed to foster engagement and interaction. While we explored different options for disabling polls, each approach ultimately created friction within the user experience, which is something we never want. So in order to maintain a seamless experience for everyone, we decided not to reintroduce the functionality.
We understand this change may require adjustments for those of you who’ve relied on disabling polling in the past, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. Rest assured that the core functionalities of Slido are not affected at all by this change. And please know that this decision was made with the long-term quality and simplicity of Slido in mind.
Thank you for your understanding and for being a valued part of the Slido community. We’re always here to listen, so feel free to share any feedback or questions in the thread.
