Hi @Carly from Slido

Thank you for the prompt response. I am utilizing Slido within a corporate setting where software distribution is controlled. Users are not permitted to install any software through downloading; installations can only be executed via a designated portal.

Is it possible this bypasses the update notification? Currently, I am on version 1.10, while the official release is version 1.12. Yet, I do not receive any notifications regarding updates.

If I (or the software distribution colleagues) know about an update, this will be distributed to all users.

Kind regards

Carly from Slido

Hey @SV3N ,

From this article for PowerPoint installations by Admins:

Application updates

The Slido.app supports auto updates. When a user runs it, the app will automatically check for new versions and offer any available update.

To disable automatic update checks, use the following setting:

defaults write com.slido.SlidoApp SUEnableAutomaticChecks NO

Note that users will be able to manually check for updates under Slido > Check for updates…

Let me know if this helps answer your question.

Best,
