Conference with multiple Slido presenters

Hello, I am new to Slido. I am organising a conference where three (and possibly more) presenters want to use Slido integrated into Powerpoint. They all have their own Engage accounts.

My understanding is that they need to be logged into their own respective Slido account in order to get their own Slido/Powerpoint presentations to work.

How annoying is it for the audience to have to scan several QR codes over the course of the day to interact with the individual lectures? And is it commonly done this way?

Thanks – Simon

Hi @SimonG,

Great question, and a super common setup for conferences. Short answer, it’s not annoying for audiences to scan multiple QR codes. It’s pretty standard when sessions are run independently, and most people are used to jumping in and out of Slidos throughout the day.

That said, you’ve got two options:

Option 1: Separate Slidos (what you described)
Each presenter runs their own Slido from their account. Works perfectly fine, just means a new QR code per session.

Option 2: One shared Slido in one of the speaker’s accounts (recommended for a smoother experience)
Create a single Slido for the whole event in one person’s account and invite the other presenters as co-hosts.

  • Audience joins once and stays in the same event all day
  • Presenters can still run their own polls and segments
  • Feels more seamless from an attendee perspective

Both approaches are valid, just depends on how unified you want the experience to feel.

All the best,

Hi Adrian, thanks – that's very interesting.

Just looking at the mechanics of Option 2, I’ve got three presenters using Slido during the event. Let's assume they have already produced their presentations with Slido in PowerPoint using their own Slido accounts. In this situation can they implement Option 2 using their existing talks in their own Slido accounts?

Thanks – Simon

Hi @SimonG!

Option two would be using co-hosts, if they have an existing slido account they can use that login if you send the invite to that email address associated with their account.

However, they would still only have the access that co-hosts are limited to as the slido is still owned by the account that creates it.

Hope this helps!
