Hello @apierce0115,

The replies, that can be posted as a moderator via Slido admin, can be seen only in the participants mode. So everyone using their device for posting questions should be able to see the replies.

But when it comes to the Present mode in general it is not possible to display Slido replies. It does not matter if you use the integration with PowerPoint or you would use Slido as a standalone. Currently the way it is designed for the Present mode is to show Questions from the audience only.

Hello @rac59

There is an option to run a poll in Slido without using PowerPoint integration. Once you would be on your existing slide you would activate the poll from Slido admin (via different device) and you would tell your participants how they can join and vote.

Another alternative is using Slido picture poll (you could insert the picture into Slido directly) and people could vote. But this works only with our paid versions and you could use it together with the integration and your participants could view the picture on their devices. But I would suggest testing this option to make sure it fits your needs.

I am using Slido embedded in PowerPoint to ask a class to answer multiple choice questions. I have been very successful in creating the questions, enabling to students to answer, and to provide the aggregated results to the class. This arrangement is not capturing the identity of the individual respondents for each question. To keep track of their participation and performance, I would like to be able to capture and record the identify of the students for each question. Is this possible? I have searched the Slido website for an answer without much success.

Hey Bill!

Patrik’s here from Slido.

That is indeed possible, and it is achievable in a few different ways. In your case, I’d recommend to ask for their name in one of the polls, and then you can take a look and match those to answers to answers from other polls in an export.

Or you can just ask them when they’re joining, and set participants privacy to always require name.

Hope this helps! If you’d need anything else, please let us know either here, or via email to support@slido.com. We also have a live chat, feel free to try that as well on slido.com :)

Have a great day!

Thank you for your response. If possible, it would be really nice to have the capability of inserting Slido directly onto a pre-existing PowerPoint slide.

Hello @rac59,

Thank you for your suggestion. It will be forwarded to our team as a feedback for Powerpoint integration. I am not sure if it would be possible technically but it is good to receive feedbacks like this for the future.

Hi there, I’m on the basic plan and have successfully added three polls to my powerpoint presentation. I am running a number of different sessions using the same presentation (and polls) over two weeks, but notice that there is a time limit of one week per event. Please can you advise on how I can run these sessions? The basic plan says there are unlimited events so am hoping this is possible.

Thanks for your advice.

Hey @djh ,

With the Basic Plan, the default event dates is set to 7 days. You can adjust the date of the event to run longer in 7 day increments. This is a feature limitation on the free plan. Our Annual Plans allow for events to be active for up to a year.

I would suggest changing the active dates of the event after each session to allow it to reflect the next sessions dates.

Best,

Hi there,

If I integrate Slido into PowerPoint with my paid subscription but I will need my team member to use his/her laptop to present,

  1. Must the person install the Slido Plugin to their PowerPoint?
  2. Must the person have a purchased seat/subscription (or can they just have guest access)?

Thank you.

Hey @Hasif ,

Thats correct, your team member will need to download the Powerpoint add-in to their computer (you need this on whichever device you create and use Slido on). They do not need a paid seat on your license, you can send them Guest invitation to access the event to help create and run it.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Best,

I first prepared the Slido on slido.com and thought I could pick it up within PowerPoint, but it doesn’t appear. I find myself self scrolling for the correct one, but I only see my colleagues’

Hi @ulf

You definitely should be able to use a Slido in PowerPoint that you created at slido.com. If you see your colleague’s Slidos in the sidebar, it probably has something to do with your access and role. If you could please chat in with our support team or reach out to support@slido.com, they’ll be able to look at your specific account and see what’s going on.

I am using Slido integrated into my PowerPoint slides in an educational setting and primarily for presenting multiple choice questions.  My multiple choice questions typically have four answer choices: A, B, C, or D.  When the class results are revealed, the multiple choice responses have been reordered by most popular selection by the class.  Is there any way to have the results of the poll to be displayed in the order that they appeared initially in the question.  In other words, I want the results to be displayed in A, B, C, D order and not reshuffled so that the most popular selection appears first.  Thanks.

Hello @MJD

you can fix the order of poll options for a specific event if you open settings in Powerpoint sidebar and then you would open advanced settings of your event. Another way of accessing this is going to slido.com website and after you would open your event you can open the settings from there as well.

Inside of these settings you can enable option called fixed order of poll options. I am also sending a screenshot attached.

Hi I gave access to my PPT and Slido to another user with a slido account. However, she is unable to insert the slido poll created in her slido account. How can we access her slido polls and incorporate it in the PPT.
