Is there an option to keep polls activated for a couple of days?

Of course, if you just keep your poll active in your admin - it won’t deactivate until you do it. Your participants will be able to access it for as long as your event is active.

If you’d like to leave multiple polls active at the same time though, you’ll need to put them all together into a survey, and leave the survey activated. This way, your participants will answer one poll after another and then submit their answers.

Is it possible to reactivate a survey once you have stopped it?

I have a follow-on query to this. We have purchased a one-time Sildo event to use at a conference. If we setup a post-event survey with Slido will it only work until the scheduled end of the event? I would like the survey to remain open for a week.

Hi @volvic and @JBA_George, 

Sure, You can select the survey in your admin through the event and select reactivate from the hamburger menu on the left or simply the green launch button. You just need to ensure that this event is still active. 

As for a one time event, your survey will run up until the end of the 7 days, providing it’s active. If you did want to leave it up a little longer, you can alternatively share a permanent link to your survey which is designed to collect feedback once your meeting is over 🙂.

Hi. I am using Slido during a conference, with a separate room for each session to keep Q&As organised. Can I set up a feedback survey/poll to cover the entire conference, not having it reproduced room by room? Thanks!

I would suggest for the Feedback Survey of ALL sessions/participants to create either a separate room just for the survey and you can share the direct link to the survey with the participants to gather overall responses in one place.

Good morning.  I am using Slido to vote each month on the “best plant” for each of our 4 divisions.  I present the 3 nominees from each division in a PowerPoint slide deck and then ask the WebEx attendees to vote using a Slido Poll that I have inserted into the slide deck at the end of each division’s nominees.  

This works great for voting during the actual meeting time; however, if attendees join the Slido outside of the scheduled meeting time to vote, they only see one of the Division’s nominees and cannot access the other 3 Divisions on the Slido to vote.  

Any suggestions on how to correct this or structure the Slido differently?  I have already merged the 4 polls into a survey, but this does not allow me to vote after each Division in the slide show and does not allow me to navigate back and forth between slides if there are questions ahead of voting.

Hi ​@safetyfirst , what I recommend is creating a Powerpoint presentation with one slide per plant and then a multiple choice poll at the end, asking participants to vote on their favorite plant from that division. You can upload an image to the poll, and I recommend creating a graphic that features the plants so people can easily reference them as they vote at the end of each division’s set of plants. 

Then you can do the same for the remaining divisions. Here is a video of an example I set up in my Powerpoint and screenshot of the multiple choice question in Host Mode. 

In terms of participants voting after the meeting time, you can only have one poll active at a time. So I would recommend sharing a direct link to each poll with those participants. I hope this helps!

Hi, I created a survey and wanted to share it pre presentation so we can present the results during a townhall. I set the date correctly, from today until June 10. But the poll deactivates itself after a few hours. As I send this survey to 50+ people, I do not want to receive message saying the poll is closed or is not working. Is there a way I can prevent the survey to close automatically? Thanks!

Let me try and help with this!

I am going to take a guess here, but either someone from the co-hosts is doing some testing with slido and deactivating the survey by mistake, or you have slido connected to a presentation (PowerPoint/Google slides) and during test runs when another poll gets activated, the survey gets deactivated.

Either way, to prevent your testing from clashing with collecting answers in the survey, I would recommend sharing the direct survey link instead of the permanent slido link. While the permanent slido link leads to the slido and shows anything that is/isn't active at the time, the direct survey link will always lead only to the survey no matter whether it is active or not, or what is happening in the slido overall.

Hello, I want to create 3 polls and a quiz in a training PowerPoint that will be presented every couple of months. What is the best way to keep these activated so I don’t need to keep going in and activating them before each course.

The quiz is designed to be run live so it is not possible to keep it activated where participants can go through each question on their own. You will need to activate each of the questions in the quiz for them to be able to participate.

For other individual polls, you can share the direct link to the poll and this will be available for your participants to submit their response as long as you have not locked the poll
