Hi I am Phil in London and am new to SLIDO - I have “learn to do SLIDO” as one of my TASKS for this year and so I thought I would get started and try to share with my team how they can use it going forward. Any help is gratefully received. I am started with the Basic package until I am confident in what I am doing.

Slido one-time plans can be used for a single slido lasting up to 7 continuous days. On top of that, you can set everything up and test the functionality beforehand, and then export your data after your slido is finished. Check our community guide about One-Time plans for all relevant information.

Regarding creating a Word Cloud Poll, you can open your slido and click the + Add new button on the left, next to My interactions. Select Word cloud and type in your question. You can also customize your word cloud in a few different ways, directly in your poll settings. Our article Create and run a word cloud will guide you step-by-step :)

Hi all!  I’m Maggie!

I work as a trainer for a Med Device Company and I started the push to use Slido in my organization.  I’m a technophile and an early adopter and Slido has impressed me from day 1.  I love the integration into Power Point and use it in nearly every New Hire presentation I create and present.  I’m also trying to teach and encourage my colleagues to use Slido in their presentations, but they aren’t all early adopters or technology proficient.

Some things I’d love to see:

• Templates for Spaces - So we could assign an interaction to a space and it would automatically have the correct branding and colors.  I’d even love custom Templates for the organization - my company is VERY specific about branding.
• Power Point Live integration - I know this is difficult on the microsoft end, but this would make it easier for me to get some of my colleagues on board.
• Slido adjusting text size to the content on the screen instead of having scroll bars - some of my quizzes and polls include a lot of text and having to scroll to see it all is not convenient.
• The ability to “Loan” a slido interaction to a free account for a short interaction - we get folks who sub in or may want to use this once and creating an entire paid account for them is not viable.

Sounds like you’re already well-versed in the product and are wisely integrating Slido within PowerPoint :)

Thanks for sharing your suggestions and how you’d like to see us evolve. In case it’s helpful, you can set a default theme and company logo for all slidos under your license within your Organization settings. And regarding loaning a Slido interaction, I’d recommend using our free Co-host option if you’re not already. This allows you to add someone as a collaborator on your slido and it’s 100% free. 

Lastly for your colleagues who may be hesitant about using Slido with their presentations, I’d recommend showing them our AI-Generated polls feature. This automatically generates polls for you in seconds, based on your presentation’s content.
