Hello, does anyone know if it’s possible to add an auto pop up prompt question (e.g. let us know you’re here and join the trivia) right before trivia/quiz questions are activated that employees have to acknowledge?

Additionally, does anyone use Slido for in-person event check ins? If so, what approach do you take?

Thank you!

Hi @Jodi F.,

I would recommend using one of these features:

  • You can add a poll of this wording right before you start the quiz. If you are using one of our presentation integrations (PowerPoint/Google slides) you can just place it right before the first question
  • You could use our Announcements feature - this is ideal for sharing messages with your audience. While it doe snot require them to confirm, it can be a nice heads-up about the quiz that is soon starting

Even within Slido as a company, we often use Slido as a tool for our virtual, live and hybrid meetings and make them a bit more interactive for the audience. We have some inspiration for activities on our blog from our meetings, but also from some of our customers.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for your quick reply! Just to confirm, there’s no way to have a message automatically pop up that employees need to acknowledge (ie clicking “yes, I’m here”) before they can move on to trivia/quiz? We’ll have employees joining the trivia at different times and we were hoping for all joiners to get an auto prompt before being able to join the trivia.

@Jodi F.

That is correct, we do not have a message that can automatically pop up for them to acknowledge by clicking on an option before moving on so these options provided are workarounds.

We will pass on the feedback to the team and mark it as a feature request.

Hope this helps.
