Can there be a tie for winners in a quiz?

Hi,

If i have around 150 participants participating in a quiz. Would there ever be a scenario where there would be a tie for quiz winners? (ie. right answer and same speed to answer) And would there be a way to avoid that?

Hi @khaled,

Yes, it is possible that two participants will have the same number of correct answers and a similar speed of answer. However, the system measures answer speed down to the milliseconds and it is quite unlikely that your participants will have the same exact time, unless you are very very lucky I suppose :)

Because of this, when participants have the same number of correct answers, the leaderboard will always show the faster person above the slower person, even if the difference is just milliseconds.

Please note, the leaderboard shows minutes and seconds. If you would like to see milliseconds, you can find them when you export the results.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

Continuation to above response, can we have milliseconds data showed in leaderboard live rather exporting and then analyzing later.

Hey @jashwini ,

There is not currently an option to show this, but feel free to submit this to our Slido Wishlist!

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Best,

How many participants can I include in a quiz at one given point of time? And do i need to pay anything for it???

Hi @Dr Sandeep Prabhu

That will depend on your plan. Our free Basic plan with Slido will allow for 100 participants. But paid plans will allow for more. Learn more on our pricing page.

Hope this helps!

Is there any way to set up some friendly competition when multiple answers are correct, each with there own separate points or partial scores? And winner is calculated with the most points? For example,

Fill In The Blank: “Raging ____”?

Bull (74)
Waters (7)
Fire (3)
Hormones (3)
River (3)
Rapids (3)

I’m trying to create a “Family Feud” style game for audience participation. Thanks!

Hello @Honeybee,

It is possible to have multiple correct answers for a quiz question. The way it works is that individuals would need to select every correct option in order to get the question “correct”. To set this up, simply select more than one correct answers when creating your quiz questions.

I’m admittedly not 100% sure that helps for your specific use case, but you’re welcome to share a bit more and I’ll see what options we might have.

hi @Cris

On the free plan you can have up to 100 participants.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Best,

Can I change the number of winners shown on a Slido Quiz? Right now I see five, but we’ll have about 150 people playing and I want to show the top 10. Is that possible?

Hi @Dr.DougWilliamson,

Currently, the leaderboard in Slido quiz is set to display the top five participants in Present mode. While it doesn't allow for showing more than five winners, each participant will be able to see their individual ranking on their own devices.

I hope this helps! 🏆
