Question

How to deactivate a slido poll after an event?

How to deactivate a slido poll after an event? Our poll is still showing as active, but we need to freeze the results. This seems like it should be a no-brainer, as it should be easy enough to provide the option to select a button  to activate and deactivate a poll, question, etc.

Hi @sartechdata,

You can deactivate the poll as seen here with the stop button at the bottom.  Or the stop button in the menu on the left where the poll is showing as active.

You can also close the Q&A.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for responding @Christyn from Slido. However, the “interactions” have already stopped. My question is related to the “active” status, which isn’t shown in any of the screenshots. Please see screenshot below. When I open this slido, it shows that all interactions have stopped, but I am not seeing any way to set to inactive.

@sartechdata  Ah I see! That will show as active until you reach the end date for your slido.  Which according to your screenshot will be Feb 26th.

Is there no way of deactivating the slido before the end date?  I just used a Slido for a one hour event and I need to be able to download the questions and send to attendees today.

Is the only option to wait until after midnight to download the questions?

Hi @IsabelR123.

The slido dates are mostly to allow participants to join the slido with the code(#).  At any time, you can download exports, such as the participants’ submissions for the Q&A.

I hope that helps!

@sartechdata and @IsabelR123 -

I just ran into the same frustration. If you open the poll, click on the Settings cog on the far left, and change the end date for any date before the current day, it will close the poll :)
