Question

Latency when using a PC to participate in Slido quiz.

I have a Slido user who has a 20 question quiz created that they reset each training period.  They are telling me that the performance is normal when the participants are using their phone to participate.  However, when they participate on one of the training PC’s by visiting slido.com and entering the appropriate PIN code, they find there is significant latency moving from screen to screen.  The latency is most evident when moving from the correct answer screen to the trophy screen or from the trophy screen to the next question.

They did have a 60 count down before the question was locked and I suggested reducing that but they indicated that the latency exists even if they end the question early.

Any troubleshooting ideas.  We have verified the throughput speeds are what they should be and circuit utilization is nomina.

Hi @mrjrtykr 👋

So the latency is coming from the participant devices and specifically the PC’s they’re using, but not their mobile devices. This suggests that there might be something on the network that the PC’s are using that is interfering here.

I would suggest trying to hot spot one of the PC’s to a mobile device and seeing if the quiz still has latency - if it does then it will confirm the network is interfering.

I would also suggest opening this Check Me Link on one of the PC’s and making sure that the results are all green like this:

If there are any orange or red results then I would suggest reaching out to support@slido.com who can help you troubleshoot this further.
