What happens when you reach the participant limit?

What do participants see if they’re trying to access a slido, but we have already reached the participant limit?

I’m looking to purchase a one-time plan for an event with an audience of around ~1000 people, so the Professional plan would be a good fit. However I’m concerned about maxing out and having people locked out the slido.

Thanks!

Hey @Alice16 ,

I agree that the Professional package sounds like a great fit for you. The participant limit is not a “hard” limit where if you have a few extra participants joining, they’ll be locked out. We want the experience to be great for everyone and so you shouldn’t have to worry about a few extra participants. If your slido ends up exceeding around 10% over the limit, you’ll be warned as a host and asked to upgrade.

Let us know if this helps or if you have any other questions.

Best,

Hello,

Within our Annual Professional Account, if we create 3 simultaneous different slidos and that the first two slidos consume 700 particpants (let’s say 300 for the first and 400 for the second) it means that it will left maximum 300 free slots for the last slido. Am i Right ?

Hello @Advancecom

Mikaella here from Slido -  happy to help! 😊

Sure thing, to go into more detail with the pro one time slido session.

  • One slido session can host up to 1,000 participants.
  • You can create multiple rooms in your Slido session, and participants can join as long as the total number of people across all rooms stays under 1,000 joined participants.

If your participant limit is reached, and we block the slido session, you’re welcome to reach out to us right away at support@slido.com and we’ll upgrade you quickly and issue an invoice with the difference.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!

My best,

Mikaella from slido

Sorry @Mika from Slido, i was talking about our “Professional Annual Subscription” not the “one time”.

And to be very clear we’re not talking about the multiple rooms but really multiple simultaneous slido events on the same account, which is available when you have an annual subscription.

Thanks for the correction @Advancecom, and of course, for sharing more info — we’re happy to help!

If you’re having simultaneous Slido sessions, then it’s still the same, each Slido session will have up to 1,000 joined participants.

For example, if one Slido session A has 700 and the other Slido session B participants is 400, those numbers are still under 1,000 participants.

The participant limit is up to 1,000 per Slido session or event you create.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!

My best,

Mikaella from slido
