Bug - 'New update is ready!' keeps on popping up

Hi,

Our EA has purchased Slido and keeps on having the message “New update is ready’ , with the prompt to ‘Restart now’.   Its not stopping from the appp working in Power Point.  However I have installed it on my PC, and I have been able to replicate the problem.   Has this been reported by others? and what is the fix?

Could you try unintalling the app, and then downloading it and installing anew.

If that does not work, please use the contact us form, sellect the technical question category, and also upload your log files like this.

Hi,

This has been fixed.

It was because of endpoint hardening due to Intune.

We had to add the following exceptions

VFST_ASR_Rules_Enforcing - configuration, settings, edit, controlled folder access protected folders - %LOCALAPPDATA%\Slido\Slido.exe & %LOCALAPPDATA%\Slido\SlidoPowerPointAddin.exe
