Question

How do I reveal poll results on PowerPoint for Mac

I am using Slido for Powerpoint on a Mac.  All good, but I am trying to figure out how to hide poll results to begin with, and when I am ready, reveal the results without exiting the presentation?

Hey @Mark J Cooper ,

Displaying poll results when presenting:

When adding or editing a poll, you can choose how to display your poll results. If you don’t want to display the results to your audience, simply toggle off Show results. When it’s toggled on, you have two options for displaying the results:

  • Immediately: The poll question and results are displayed in real time when presenting the slide.

  • On click: The poll question is displayed first when presenting the slide. Advancing one more click displays the results.

To read more about the Powerpoint integration and how to use it, we have this article:

Best,

Thank you :)  I found the On Click setting in Powerpoint, but for the future you might want to consider it also being in the desktop admin settings area as well :)

How to display results of a poll within powerpoint?

  1. I have cut and paste the QR code into my powerpoint presentation and ‘answered’ the poll. The answers come up when my Slido is open in a separate tab. But a ‘click’ does not lead to them appearing in my a powerpoint presentation.
  1. I can’t see the On Click setting in Powerpoint.
  1. Also, I haven’t found a way to edit the poll so that answers show immediately

Can you help?

thanks!

Hi @CarolynHoulding

In order to see the poll results when presenting in Powerpoint, you have to install the Slido for Powerpoint integration, not just paste the QR code into your presentation.

Once you do install the integration, you will see a Slido “S” button in the home tab in your Powerpoint menu. Opening that will you the option to add your polls directly into your presentation and would then allow you to display the results right in Powerpoint. Hope that helps!

If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our support team and we can walk you through the steps, in detail.

All the best,

thanks Adrian! I had already installed the integration and had the S button in the home tab, scanned the QR and answered the poll (to test). Then clicked.

The  results don’t show up on my powerpoint. It is a powerpoint that I generated and am trying to integrate Slido into. Does this make a difference?

The answers DO show up in a separate slide show on the Slido website.

@CarolynHoulding Perfect! Then we’re halfway there. Instead of pasting in the QR code what you will want to do is link the Slido event to your presentation, then you will see the Existing Interactions tab has the poll you created. Click that to add the poll holding slide to your Presentation. Then when you go into Slideshow mode in powerpoint it should automatically display the results when you get to that slide in your deck! Hope that makes sense.

All the best,
