Two major issues with Slido for PowerPoint

  1. All of my multiple choice polls are set to Visible Immediately and not Hidden (i.e. on click). For no discernable reason these keep randomly changing to Hidden. I have set it on both the Slido website for the poll and within the PowerPoint plugin. Still, it randomly flips back to Hidden. Slido support: This is a bug and it is extremely annoying.
  2. The answer option text on multiple choice has way too much unnecessary spacing resulting in options being cut off (requiring scrolling). With a question you can only have three options visible with results. This only happens in 16:9 ratio slides. If you use 4:3 slide ratio, it’s formatted and resized much better, easily shows 5, probably could do 6 or 7 if you had short text. Slido support: this needs to be fixed in 16:9. No reason for all the unnecessary space.

My last issue is there is no control over font size or style. Why? Needs to be implemented. The zoom feature on the web-based poll is not possible in PowerPoint slides. A simple scaling number on the polls themselves would work. Would solve my #1 issue too - or just clean up layout in 16:9.

Hi @kcheyne!

For the first issue with the results, I would reach out to our support at support@slido.com.  If you can send them PowerPoint logs, they are able to take a deeper look for you and see what might be causing the issue.

And for the aspect ratio and showing more poll options, while it’s not a perfect solution you can take a look at our workaround we suggest here. The number of options that show is all dependent on the length of the options and the screen aspect ratio.

However, only showing 3 seems odd- I would suggest also checking with support@slido.com on this as well.

The font size is also dependent on the screen size, so it automatically adjusts to the appropriate size based on that. I’ll be sure to pass your feedback along to our team as well!
