We had a conference in which the final quiz competition was conducted using Slido Quiz. During the quiz, we did not allow the participants to know if their answers were correct/ incorrect by double clicking and moving on to the next question in each round.

After the quiz, we got the leaderboard too and announced the top 5 winners. Then, the faculty began to discuss answers to the questions with the participants. Mid-way in between, one of the staff, closed the presentation from the presenter’s laptop but then as the participants wanted to be able to see their questions and answers on Slido, the quiz was left active again by pressing ‘yes’ in the pop-up box that asked whether we wanted to leave the quiz open (active) or not.

After this reactivation and completion of the answer discussion, one of the participants came and showed that 2 questions in which she had marked the correct answers were marked as wrong by Slido in her ‘View my answers’ section. We checked the presenter’s Slido version and the answers entered when the Slido was being created were correct.  However for the participant, slido showed it in red with a circle with a cross mark on the side indicating that the answer is wrong while it was actually correct.

Could you kindly explain why the answers were shown as incorrect when they were actually correct? This is a serious matter as this quiz competition bore an expensive prize for the winner and if this participant’s answers were marked correct by Slido (as they are correct) she would get 1st prize. She missed the 1st prize because she was marked as incorrect for 2 questions that she answered correctly.

Hey @UHope ,

Thanks for your detailed explanation of your Use Case and issue occured. Could you please share if there were screenshots taken of the incorrect answers not aligning with the Presenter view?

If you could also share this information to support@slido.com so we can better troubleshoot from there on what might have happened?

Best,
