Do you have tips for this in Physical meetings that will not reduce the in room conversation but add to it?

Hi @LeanneM.

While not specific to in-person physical meetings, we do have this page with tips on creating that engaging space that you might be looking for.  And if you could use more food for thought, we have this collection of popular use cases as well.

Hi @LeanneM

If you’re looking to boost the in-room conversations, I think you can still fall back on the tried and true “raise your hand” method. Slido Q&A can be a backup for people who may feel nervous about verbally speaking up.

It may also depend on if your event/meeting is 100% in-person or hybrid. If it’s hybrid, you’d probably want to pay close attention to the virtually submitted Slido questions, but then again, people can still probably raise their virtual hand on whatever meeting platform you’re using.

I know lots of facilitators thrive on the in-person live energy of a robust Q&A. And if that’s what you’re going for, that’s awesome and you should definitely lean in to that. I’d still recommend keeping slido involved, if only for providing the alternative option for your attendees who may be a bit more shy.

Hope that helps!

We are a little bit disappointed that the answers to questions are not shown on the Q&A powerpoint slide.

In our webinars, there can be a lot of questions and some can be easily answered with short sentence or sometimes just yes/no. Often there is no need to verbally repeat the question and answer by the speaker - it would be a waste of time.

Therefore we are looking for a solution that shows all questions and the (latest) answer on a list/table to the audience - without much white space (and also with the option to use a smaller font so that more questions and answers fit on the slide).

I know that people will see the answers in slido.com, but seeing all answers there requires a lot of clicking and scrolling - not very user friendly.

Hello @vgaertne

Mikaella here from Slido -  happy to help!

I hear you and I’m so sorry that you were disappointed with the Q&A feature not showing the replies. I can understand how helpful this can be esp. with so many questions.

I believe you might be using this but in case, as a suggested workaround, you can always let participants know that this has been answered already and approve the question. Sometimes that can help move things a lot quicker during a live event.

If you have a few moderators or co-hosts that can help with the event, they can filter out those repetitive questions, reply or even label them.

I understand this feature would be valuable for you. Please share this on our Wishlist where our product team can see the demand and you can track updates on its status.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!

My best,
Mikaella from slido
