Slido used to have “Collecting Ideas” function, which we used a lot in the brainstorming and I would like this function back so badly!

It is similar to Q&A - but what great about “collecting ideas” was able to put an Open-ended Question to the audience and collect their ideas.

Audience can input their ideas and at the same time they can see others ideas which they can vote on.

We used to pick the most voted idea, highlight the idea on the screen and start a further discussion in the session.

It was such a useful tool and it is no longer available in the new version of Slido...

Please have this back asap!

Hi @Miyuki Ogawa Sorrentino.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, along with your specific use case.

The Ideas feature will not be returning, with the reasoning provided on our feature continuity page.  But I would encourage you to follow our product news in case an alternative solution would come around.

@Jennifer with Slido

Thank you for your answer.

The closest alternative to collecting idea will be Q&A function.

With the announcement, let’s say I can state my topic - but the description of “Type your question” is not helping in this context.

It will be great if I can customise this section.

Hi @Miyuki Ogawa Sorrentino

We also have the option of open text poll where you could ask your question of the participants

For customisations, our team could check if this will be possible, you can reach out to support@slido.com with your request. Please see further information on customisations and pricing

Hope this helps!

Monica from Slido

@Monica from Slido Thank you for your reply!

As for the Open text poll, unfortunately we cannot vote or highlight the idea, so this option is useful for a small group, but it is not so useful for the brainstorming with a large group of 100+.

And Thank you for your suggestion to reach out to support team on customisations.

I will send a request!
