Provide more content for open text poll

I am a writing professor and have used the open text poll this semester to obtain student responses to various prompts.  Generally, my prompts are longer, including facts, analysis, etc., and do not fit within the open text poll itself.  I have used a couple of workarounds: (1) printing the prompt and then displaying the poll slide; and (2) displaying the prompt on a slide and activating the poll on my phone (then going to the results on the next slide).

I was wondering if there was a simpler way to do this.  Am I ignorant of a way to activate the poll within PowerPoint without having to display the poll slide (or clumsily use my phone)?

Hi @wiltayfarr.

Those are essentially the exact workarounds we have to suggest.  You can display the larger content for participants to consider on one slide and then advance to the poll slide.  Or you can display the content as you cue participants to interact on their phone.  The latter is best done by introducing Slido at the start of the presentation, so participants are already prepared to interact.

Some of our users have also taken the extra text or content and saved it as an image to display with the poll.

I hope that helps!
