Question

Word Cloud limit

I’ve seen responses from moderators that word clouds have a 50 word limit to be shown on a screen, but the answers are from a couple of years ago. I wanted to know if this limit still applies.

Our intention is to ask around 1,000 participants to provide 1 single word, should we switch from a word cloud to an open text poll to be able to see the answers from all the participants?

thanks

Hey @Christian Pierre ,

The Word Cloud will display the 50 most common answers.

You will see all submissions from your 1,000 participants in the event, but on the participant screen it will only display the top 50 responses. To see more about how the Word Cloud works please see this article.

Let us know if this helps!

Best,

Hello Carly, would you recommend using an open text poll if we wanted more answers to be displayed?

thank you!!

Hello @Christian Pierre

yes the open text poll would allow you to view all of the responses. However you would have to scroll down through these answers as they would not fit on one screen.

Thank you Ondrej for the answer. We are going to test them both and see what works best for our dynamic.

This was super helpful.

Hello Slido Team,

We recently purchased the 7-day Engaged plan because we are hosting an event on December 29 with approximately 150 participants. Since we only need Slido for this single event day, the 7-day plan was the most logical choice for us.

We are now trying to set up an additional Slido interaction, specifically more Word Cloud questions, and the system tells us that we need to upgrade to a more expensive annual plan. From our perspective, this does not make sense.

We have just purchased the 7-day plan precisely because we only need Slido for one day and have no need for an annual subscription. Is it really the case that only one single Word Cloud question is included in the 7 day plan, and that any additional Word Cloud requires upgrading to an annual plan?

If so, we find that this limitation is not communicated clearly enough in your pricing and plan description. Could you please clarify this for us and let us know if there is any alternative or solution for our use case?Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi @Rolf Paltzer

With Slido’s one-time plans, you can use advanced features for a single slido lasting up to 7 continuous days. On top of that, you can set everything up and test the functionality beforehand, and then export your data after your slido is finished.

If you need to create another slido session separate to the one where you purchased the one time plan then yes you would need to purchase another one time plan as the one time plans are for a single slido.

Within the one slido though you can create multiple polls.

The other option is to purchase an annual plan where you can created unlimited sessions.

I hope this helps.

Best,

Monica from Slido
