The quiz interaction is great for student competition, but I wish there were an option for group competition, where groups could compete against each other.

I strongly support this feature request.
We are currently planning an interactive quiz format for a larger group where team-based competition (e.g. 4 predefined teams) is a core part of the concept. Our event is planned for later this year.
Slido would be an excellent tool for this, but the lack of a team/group mode is currently a key limitation.
Our use case:
- Participants join the quiz individually
- Each participant selects one of several predefined teams upon joining
- Answers are submitted individually, but results are aggregated on a team level
- A live team leaderboard would be a great addition (e.g. for final or fast-paced rounds)
I believe this is not only relevant for corporate events, but also for:
- education (schools, universities)
- workshops & trainings
- conferences and large group sessions
