We had the idea to use slido in a multicountry event, where people from 3 countries join the same Slido quiz at the same time. It would be great if there would be an automatic country tagging or detection feature in Slido so we are able to segment the output based on their countries in a very easy way.

Hi @PPeople 👋

Thanks for the submission! I know this wouldn’t be automated, but you could always run a quick “what country are you joining from” poll at the very beginning.

Then when looking at your exports, you could easily format the results based on how participants responded to that question.

And if you know the three countries beforehand, I’d recommend running this as a multiple choice poll. That would make it super clean in your exports.

Thanks again!

@PPeople Thanks for the idea. From your description, it sounds like the main need is to segment participants by country so results can be analyzed or exported by country, rather than translating the quiz or poll content itself.

Can you confirm if that's right? If so, we'll treat this separately from requests about multilingual poll or quiz content.

@PPeople Thanks again for the idea. Based on the example you shared, we’re treating this as a request for automatic country tagging and segmentation in results, rather than translation of the quiz itself.

Automatic country detection or tagging is not something we’re planning right now. For now, the most reliable workaround is to ask participants to select their country in a multiple-choice poll and use that response when working with the exported results.

We’re therefore moving this to Not now, maybe one day.
