We need a “Hand raise” feature to help manage Q&As better. We use Slido in large in-person meetings.

Q&A should have a hand rise✋ button (same as you can do in Teams or Zoom meetings) so that the events’ hosts can properly manage Q&A time. The Slido event facilitator should be able to see who raised their hand and the time stamp of when they did so that they can moderate participation properly.

At present we are using a workaround for this which includes the combined use of emoji and labels, but it is not efficient and requires training participants every time.

Hi @Belén Doblado Regaño 👋

Is this part of a Q&A? Is the hand raising something that signifies what order questions should be answered?

Slido allows you to sort your Q&A questions by the most popular (having the most upvotes) or the most recently submitted. In your in-person meetings, are you wanting to raise hands as an alternative to these different sorting options?

I'm just trying to get a better understanding of what problem you’re trying to solve. Looking forward to hearing more!

Hi @Joel from Slido 👋
When you are in a Zoom/Teams/Webex meeting, as a participant, you can raise your hand. There is a 👋visual signal for hosts/moderators to know that you would like to speak. We need the same in Slido events.

We are using Slido for very important firm meetings. They have >300 participants meeting in-person. During these meetings, they use Slido for critical voting sessions and Q&As.
We need for them to be able to raise their hands within Slido (clicking on a 👋 same as you can do in Zoom/Teams...). This way, the hosts can know who they are (name and order/time in which they raised their hand tracked) and ask them to speak to the whole audience when the time is right.

We have been asking this to our CSM and for years. It would help tremendously managing these events.

Let me know if this helps clarify the need or if you have additional questions.

@Belén Doblado Regaño got it 👍

I wasn’t sure if the hand raising was truly to signify someone needing to speak to everyone, but you’ve clarified it perfectly. Thanks for the additional context!

Thank you, @Joel from Slido. We do hope Slido can gift us this much awaited feature. It should be easy to develop but will open Slido to different use cases, especially in face-to-face and hybrid meetings😉.
